Yoga and Essential Oils 

Yoga and essential oils go together like peanut butter and jelly. I have been using essential oils for 3 years extensively in our home and so it was natural to add them to my yoga practice. Here are my top suggestions for essential oil use in your yoga practice.

 

Start by diffusing essential oils during your yoga practice to find the ones that you connect with the most. Remember less is more...adding too many essential oils will overwhelm you and your practice. Start with an oil at the beginning of your practice to diffuse in the room, then choose an oil to apply to yourself during your practice and finally choose an oil for savasana.

 

For Uplifting feelings during a practice try:

- citrus oils - wild orange, tangerine, green mandarin, Doterra's citrus bliss, lemon, lime, lemongrass, grapefruit, bergamot

- peppermint

- Doterra's Motivate or Cheer

 

If you are in need of a Grounding practice try:

- Doterra's Balance

- Tree oils - arborvitae, Siberian fir, cedar wood, Douglas fir, Sandalwood Vetiver

 

A Calming yoga practice can be very beneficial, try:
